| Indexed | One column contains the group variable and another column contains the corresponding response data. |
|---|---|
| Raw | Data for the two samples are contained in separate columns. |

| Group Range | The grouping column. Note that the grouping column will be set as categorical if Text column. |
|---|---|
| Data Range | The data column. |
| 1st Data Range | The first sample column. |
|---|---|
| 2nd Data Range | The second sample column. |
| Null Hypothesis | The null hypothesis. The two samples are from populations having the same distribution (read only). |
|---|---|
| Alternate Hypothesis |
|
| Significance Level |
The alpha (α) level of the test. |
| Exact P Value |
Select to output the exact P value. The P value in the Mann-Whitney test can be an exact probability or a normal approximation. For a large dataset, computation of the exact computation may require extensive calculation, particularly in cases when there are ties in the observations. For a large sample, we recommend that you clear this check box and output the approximation. Otherwise, the exact probability should be used. |
| Output Results |
Specify the output result sheet, which includes a Notes table, Descriptive table, Ranks table and Test Statistics table. For help with the range controls, see: Output Results. |
