6.73 FAQ-1031 Why do I see "orglab exited with status 53" error when I try to start FLEXnet Server?

FLEXnet server version 11.19 or later version requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package. If it is not installed, you will see one of the following error messages in the log file when you try to start FLEXnet server:

orglab exited with status 53 (this status is reserved but will never be generated)

OR,

 9:12:34 (lmgrd) orglab exited with status 255 ()
 9:12:34 (lmgrd) Since this is an unknown status, license server 
 9:12:34 (lmgrd) manager (lmgrd) will attempt to re-start the vendor daemon.

To solve this problem,

If you are using FLEXnet 11.16 or earlier version, please upgrade to version 11.19 or later. You can always download the latest version from here.
If you are running the latest version but still see this error message, you will need to download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable Package manually:

For 32bit OS, please download vcredist_x86-2015-2019.exe
For 64bit OS, please download vcredist_x64-2015-2019.exe
