The XY/YZ/XZ Faces tabs provide controls for plot types that have XY/YZ/XZ faces, that can be used to edit the fill region and border of the faces in the graph. These tabs are similar, thus this page only discusses the XZ Faces tab.
Note that if a control is not appropriate for a particular graph type, the control will be unavailable on the tab.

Specify a fill color. Select None to display a transparent fill. For help with color controls, see Customizing Data Plot Colors.
Specify how to fill the pattern using the Pattern Chooser which is similar with the Color Chooser.

Select a pattern from the default pattern list, Normal or Geology, to fill all columns, bars, pie wedges or areas.
Once you choose Geology, the controls below will appear to allow customize the pattern:
There are two modes to apply the selected pattern(s): Stretch and Proportional:

Any selection in this tab will trigger the Pattern List tab.
This tab is only available for grouped plots. Select a pattern increment list to vary the grouped plots.
When a pattern is selected from the Pattern list, the Pattern Color button is available. Clicking this button will open the color chooser which can be used to set color(s) for selected pattern(s).
When Automatic is selected, Origin uses the Border Color button setting for the pattern color.
Specify the width of the lines in the fill pattern. Line width is measured in units of points, where 1 point=1/72 inch.
Specify the gradient fill mode.
This is available only when Gradient Fill is set to One Color. It is a slider used to set the lightness (in %) of the gradient fill color, varying from black to white.
This is available only when Gradient Fill is set to Two Colors. Select the second color used to create the gradient.

This is available when Gradient Fill is set to One Color or Two Colors. It allows you to specify the direction along which the filled color gradually changes.
Origin displays your current tab settings in this view box.
This controls XY/YZ/XZ faces transparency. Move the slider or enter an integer from 0 to 100 in the combination box. Note that 0 means the symbol is not transparent at all, and 100 means the symbol is fully transparent.
Use this drop-down list to specify the relation between the XZ face and the XY face. Note that this drop-down list is only available on the XZ Faces tab or the YZ Faces tab.
