17.1.2.2 Examples (Statistics on Rows)

Suppose you want to investigate the health status of a population of students. You collected a sample of 40 students and recorded the name, gender, age, height and weight of each (Import body_row.dat on \Samples\Statistics). After recording this information for each student, you decide you want to summarize some basic information on heights and weights:

  1. Highlight the Height and Weight data rows.
  2. Select Statistics: Descriptive Statistics: Statistics on Rows to open the Statistics on Rows dialog box.
  3. Check Minimum, 1st Quartile, Median, 3rd Quartile, Maximum on the Quantities to Compute: Quantiles branch.
  4. Click OK.
