Decimation

Decimation is the process of reducing the sampling rate of a signal. It is usually used to reduce the size of the data. Origin supports two filters in the decimation tool, which are FIR filter and Moving Average filter.

To use Decimation:

1. Make a workbook or a graph active.
2. Select Analysis: Signal Processing: Decimation from the Origin menu.
