2.5.3 Regression with Life Data
Regression with Life Data uses maximum likelihood (MLE) to fit parametric regression models—such as accelerated life testing models or proportional hazards models—to your censored lifetime data, evaluates the effects of covariates, factors, and accelerating variables on product reliability, and reports key quantities such as predicted failure times, survival probabilities at specific stress levels, and hazard ratios, enabling you to understand failure mechanisms, optimize design parameters, and predict field performance under normal use conditions.
