Symptom

If you copy and paste some data (e.g., pulse spectrum) from Excel to Origin, perform operations (e.g., peak analysis), then copy and paste new data (e.g., the peak fitting results) from Origin back to Excel, you will find that the original pulse spectrum is pasted instead of the fresh results.

Cause

Excel (2024 and later) keeps the first clipboard in a "virtual frame". It ignores any later copy made outside Excel until that frame is cleared.

Workaround

Before copying the desired data in Origin, switch to Excel and press Esc key once to clear the virtual frame. Then copy in Origin and paste into Excel.
